From now until August 31, New York City teenagers aged 14–19 years old can work out for free at Planet Fitness locations across the five boroughs by signing up for free High School Summer Pass seasonal memberships!

The Summer Pass grants teens free access to Planet Fitness locations across the City where they can exercise and focus on their physical and mental wellbeing throughout the summer season.

“While the school year came to a close, it remains essential for our young people to continue prioritizing their wellbeing and engage in healthy and enriching activities,” said Chancellor David Banks when discussing the Summer Pass program earlier this season. “I’m thrilled that Planet Fitness is creating this opportunity for teens across the City once again, and I encourage every student to get out and stay active this summer.”

Registering for the program is easy—visit PlanetFitness.com/SummerPass to get your registration started! Teens under 18 must register with a parent/guardian online or in-club. In addition to the free summer memberships, all Summer Pass participants will have access to free fitness training from in-club certified trainers as well as free workouts courtesy of Planet Fitness’ smartphone app!

Plus, signing up for a High School Summer Pass can even help you and your school win a few dollars—at the end of the summer, the top 10 schools with the highest number of Summer Pass signups on Planet Fitness’ leaderboards this season will each receive a $10,000 grant that can be used towards new athletic equipment, field renovations, classrooms, courses, and more. Moreover, Summer Pass holders can participate in a Planet Fitness TikTok video contestten lucky students who submit a video this year will win a $10,000 scholarship each!

To learn more about the Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass program, visit Planet Fitness’ official Summer Pass webpage. There, you’ll be able to sign up for the program, too—just remember that teens under 18 must register for the Pass with a parent or guardian either online or in a Planet Fitness location.

On behalf of the DOE, we wish all of our participating teens a healthy summer!
