Throughout the week of December 5-11, NYC public schools across all five boroughs are participating in Computer Science Education Week, an international celebration of computer science (CS) instruction and programming in elementary, middle, and high schools. DOE Raises $20 Million for Computer Science for All

As the City works to establish and implement the various initiatives tied to the DOE's ambitious Equity & Excellence for All reforms, Mayor Bill de Blasio and Chancellor Carmen Fariña have announced that private donors have now donated over $20 million to help fund the City's Computer Science for All (CS4All) initiative.  This funding, which helps support the DOE's goal of providing all City public school students with computer science instruction by 2025, regardless of school or grade level, represents about half of the $40 million that will be needed from private donors to fund this initiative.
