Give Thanks

As we sit down to Thanksgiving dinner with our families and friends, let us appreciate what is beautiful in our lives and remind ourselves what we are grateful for. Every day, our educators and parents try to make the world better for children. We look to the future and search for ways to improve our lives, and the lives of the children in our care. During this month of gratitude, let us all be thankful for the pleasures—and challenges—life has thrown our way.

Welcome Back to School!

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2016-17 school year and to the NYC Department of Education's (DOE) new blog, The Morning Bell!
