Welcoming Displaced Students from the Caribbean

Dear Families: We are deeply saddened and concerned about the widespread devastation in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other Caribbean islands in the wake of Hurricanes Maria and Irma. Our hearts go out to those who have lost so much. As many New Yorkers prepare to welcome displaced relatives and friends into their homes, we stand ready to welcome their children into our schools. A Letter from the Chancellor about the Tragedy in the Bronx

Dear Students & Families: We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one of our students today at the Urban Assembly School for Wildlife Conservation in the Bronx. The students and the families of those involved remain in our thoughts and prayers, and grief counselors will be on hand to assist students, families and staff in need.
