SYEP helps City youth get paid work experience and career exploration opportunities throughout July and August. Applying today can get you access to paid entry-level jobs across various industries across the five boroughs, including:
- Arts and Recreation
- Educational Services
- Financial Services
- Healthcare/Medical
- Hospitality/Tourism
- Information Technology

- Media/Entertainment

In addition to jobs, SYEP also provides paid project-based activities and workshops to teenagers aged 14–15 regarding job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy, and educational growth. There are even special service options for applicants from particular residential communities, select DOE schools, and other circumstances.
