Get those shovels ready, New York.
Due to expected severe weather conditions, all NYC Department of Education-sponsored weekend activities and all extended-use permits, including adult education, special education, and Public School Athletic League (PSAL) activities, will be cancelled tomorrow, Saturday, January 29, 2022.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for tomorrow and NYC Emergency Management has also issued a Hazardous Travel Advisory beginning tonight through tomorrow afternoon. The MTA has also issued a soft travel ban on all Bridges. Snow is anticipated to begin tonight and continue until 3:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon.
We are working in close communication with the NYC Department of Transportation and NYC Emergency Management throughout the next 24 hours. Scheduled activities will resume on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
