Some reminders for Midwinter Recess
- Check out the Student Opportunities that are available for NYC students in grades K–12 this month—use this recess to apply for some of those opportunities, including jobs, internships, contests, and more!
- Many of the events on our official Black History Month events/resources list take place during Midwinter Recess; check them out with your family—and don’t forget to check out our official BHM reading list while you’re at it!
- Applying to NYC middle schools? Don’t forget; this year’s admissions process ends on March 1, 2022.
- Keep NYC schools safe by testing your child for COVID-19 before they return to school on February 28, 2022! While we do not require proof of a negative test result in order for your child to return on 2/28, we strongly recommend you test your child using the take-home test kits we sent home with your child before Midwinter Recess or at a COVID-19 testing site near you.
