Get ready for a Snow Day, remote learning-style.

Due to expected severe weather conditions, all New York City public schools will switch to remote instruction on Thursday, December 17, 2020, as all City school buildings will be closed.

All students will be expected to log on to their online classrooms and engage with their school work from home as they have done on other school days throughout the 2020–21 school year, including students who are already learning remotely every day.

Please note that because of these building closures, all DOE-based Community Meal locations will be closed, as well. To find alternative Community Meal distribution points near you, visit the City’s online Get Food NYC Meal Tracker.
