Ever wonder what it takes to open all NYC public schools for the new school year?

With over 1,800 schools, 140,000 employees serving over 1.1 million students, 9,000 school buses, 600,000 student MetroCards, and over 1 million meals served daily, it takes a monumental effort to get the largest school system in the United States ready for the first day of school.
