Now that the summer season is behind us and just about everything is pumpkin-flavored, it’s time for us to properly welcome the first full month of fall 2019:
The 2019–20 school year is really kicking into high gear!
On tap this month: middle and high school admissions fairs, Columbus Day weekend, and College Application Week, among others. School communities will also continue to celebrate the rest of National Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month and usher in the start of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

DOE Admissions Fairs (Middle and High School)
Planning to start middle or high school in fall 2020?
Throughout October and November 2019, the DOE will host admissions events and open houses to provide families with opportunities to learn more about the City’s middle, high school, and specialized high school admissions processes. Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) and LaGuardia H.S. Auditions
Are you interested in auditioning for a seat at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts or taking the SHSAT? Be sure to register for your audition and/or test on MySchools by Thursday, October 10.
