DOE Adds Vacation Day to 2019–2020 School Calendar

This December, City public schools will now close for Winter Recess beginning on Monday, December 23, 2019 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. City schools will reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

The new start date for Winter Recess is an update from the previously announced start date of Tuesday, December 24 — we urge all City families to update your calendars and planners accordingly.
