The Big Apple Awards is New York City’s educator recognition program that honors and celebrates educators who go above and beyond for their students and school communities. Please help us recognize and celebrate some of our City’s best educators by nominating your favorite teachers by Monday, December 9.

In addition to teachers, for the second straight year, we’re honoring school counselors by opening up nominations for the Big Apple College and Career Counselor Ambassador Award. And just like our teacher awards, anyone can submit nominations for the Counselor Ambassador Awards—students, families, teachers, administrators, and community members.

To learn more about the awards, visit the Big Apple Awards webpage, and read about some of our Big Apple Award recipients from prior school years. If you have questions, please email us at TeacherExcellence@schools.nyc.gov.

Remember: this year’s nominations must be submitted by Monday, December 9, 2019, so if you have a teacher and/or counselor in mind that you would like considered for a Big Apple Award, submit your nomination TODAY!
