What’s cooler than hanging out with Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees?

Well, how about hanging out with Aaron Judge and the Yankees… AND winning $10,000 for college!

For the second straight year, the NYC Department of Education, the Stonewall Inn, and the Yankees are teaming up to offer five outstanding, college-bound NYC high school seniors with $10,000 each through the 2020 Yankees-Stonewall Scholarship.

First launched in June 2019 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprisingthe Yankees-Stonewall Scholarship recognizes the achievements of five college-bound City high school seniors who demonstrate strong academic achievement alongside meaningful support of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning or Queer (LGBTQ) community. All NYC high school seniors are eligible to apply, and each application must include two essays and one letter of recommendation from a teacher.

And the best part? Each scholarship winner will be honored at a baseball game in Yankee Stadium during the 2020 regular season!

To learn more and to apply, check out the DOE’s Yankee-Stonewall Scholarship Application page, and submit your application by March 1, 2020.
