Editor’s Note: Election Day took place on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. We are proud of every single New Yorker who took the time to make their voices heard on Election Day 2018, including our first-time voters!

Before you head out to vote, make sure you verify your voter registration status and polling site location.

It’s time to make your voice heard!

Today, eligible New Yorkers across the City can exercise their right to vote and participate in one of the most significant midterm election periods in recent years.

Voting is absolutely essential to our democracy, so if you are a U.S. citizen, aged 18 years or older, and are registered to vote in New York State, make sure you get to your local polling site and have your vote counted!

There’s a lot at stake in this year’s elections for City residents, including three “back of the ballot” questions proposed by the 2018 New York City Charter Revision Commission that are related to campaign finance, civic engagement, and community boards. Please remember to flip your ballot and vote on these proposals when participating in today’s elections.

Polling sites are open today from 6:00 a.m.– 9:00 p.m. across the five boroughs. To find your assigned poll site, check your registration status, or to learn more about voting in NYC, visit www.voting.nyc or call 311.

We hope to see you all at the voting booth!
