Today marks the the last day of the 2017–18 school year for New York City’s 1.1 million school children.

It’s been an incredible year, and we are grateful to our teachers, principals, families, elected officials, and community partners for making this school year a success for our students.

We also want to take a moment to give a huge shout-out to the Class of 2018! Congratulations to all of you, including NYC’s graduating high school seniors; we wish you all success in your future endeavors!

Enjoy your summer, everyone! See you back in our schools on September 5, 2018 (or on July 5, if you’re attending summer school or one of our Summer in the City programs)!

Enjoy Your Summer, Students! See You Back on September 5

We hope you make the most of your summer! Take a swim, read a book, or explore a museum; summer fun is always just a bus/train (or ferry) ride away!
