EDITOR’S NOTE: This post has been updated to reflect the DOE’s deadline extension for pre-k offers. Families now have until Friday, June 8 to accept their pre-k offers.

That Ferry Life

With the weather getting warmer, perhaps it’s time to live that #FerryLife and hop onto one of the City’s newly-named NYC Ferry vessels?

Can you believe it? June is practically upon us.

Yes, JUNE. Like seriously, where did the time go?

In case you blinked and missed everything that we covered back in May 2018:

With May pretty much in the books, it is time to check out what’s in store for NYC schools for June 2018, courtesy of the DOE’s official Schools Calendar:

Some quick notes about this month’s schedule:

  • Promotion Decisions

In mid-June, promotion decisions and Summer School recommendations will be mailed to City families. If you have questions about a promotion decision or a Summer School recommendation, please speak with your school counselor, teacher(s), and/or principal.

  • Graduation Ceremonies

If you would like more information regarding a particular school’s graduation ceremony (i.e. dates, times, tickets, etc), please contact that school’s main office directly.

Parents who have questions about their students’ graduation status should speak directly with school counselors for details.

  • NYS Regents and RCT Exams

Learn more about this month’s scheduled Regents and RCT exams by checking out the New York State Education Department’s website. Students who are unsure which exams they need to take this month should speak with their school counselor immediately.

And that’s all for this month, and for this school year! On behalf of the DOE, we hope everyone has a wonderful June!

Oh, and remember… the first day of the 2018–19 school year is on September 5, so mark your calendars!

The NYC DOE Congratulates the Class of 2018!

Congratulations to the Class of 2018!
