August is here, which means that we’re only just one month away from the start of the 2017-2018 school year.

But one month is, well, a MONTH. So before we get into the hustle, bustle, and excitement of a new school year, let’s take a moment to slow things down, take in the warm summer air, catch up on some summer reading, and ponder some of life’s lighter questions, such as:giphy

Anyway, it is time to take a look and see what is going on in the month of August, courtesy of the DOE’s official Schools Calendar:

    • Need to take a Regents exam this August? Talk with your/your child’s assigned guidance counselor, or speak with guidance staff members at any City high school to indicate your interest in August’s scheduled Regents Exams, ASAP.

  • Summer SHSAT Exams & Summer Auditions for LaGuardia H.S.
    • Note that these dates only apply to students who meet all three of the following criteria:
      • Entered eighth or ninth grade for the first time on September 2016;

That’s all for this month!
