For over 15 years, The Metropolitan Museum of Art has hosted P.S. Art, the museum’s annual celebration of artwork created by City public school students. Organized in partnership with the Met, the DOE, and Studio in a School, P.S. Art is an exhibition of student artwork created by over 100 talented young artists across all grade levels (pre-k – grade 12) and all five boroughs.

Each work on display at P.S. Art has been selected by a jury of distinguished members of the City’s arts community, including staff members from the Met, and arts specialists from the DOE and Studio in a School. The works on display include paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, mixed-media works, collages, and drawings, and each work demonstrates personal expression, imagination, and an understanding of artistic processes.

The P.S. Art exhibition at the Met is running from now until October 29, 2017. To see it in person, visit the Met’s Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education at the museum’s main location on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

In addition, you may also see a slideshow of all the works that are on display at this year’s exhibition right on the Met’s official P.S. Art webpage. Check it out, and let us know which works are your favorites!

On behalf of the DOE, we thank the Met and Studio in a School for their outstanding work on behalf of our students!
