DP ImageIt is time to celebrate Disability Pride!

On Sunday, July 9, the NYC Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities and the nonprofit organization, Disability Pride NYC, will be teaming up to host the 2017 NYC Disability Pride Parade. This event, now in its third year, promotes the inclusion, awareness, and visibility of people with disabilities.

The parade will march from Union Square Park to Madison Square Park beginning at 11 a.m. on July 9, and great food, music, and informational resources will be available at Madison Square Park until 3 p.m.

Here at the DOE, we are proud to support the 2017 NYC Disability Pride Parade, and we invite students, teachers, family members, and DOE staff members to walk alongside us. To march in the parade with the DOE, we encourage anyone who is interested to register on our website.

Questions? Visit the DOE’s Disability Pride Parade webpage or contact us at disabilityprideparade@schools.nyc.gov.

See you on July 9!
