Are you an aspiring teacher who is certified to teach in New York City (or will be by August 2017), and would like to teach in New York City beginning in September 2017?

Then apply to become a City public school teacher with the NYC Department of Education!

Complete an online teacher application by the DOE’s Second Priority Deadline on Wednesday, April 5, and be considered for a teaching position within one of the City’s public schools for the 2017–18 school year. Candidates who submit an application by this deadline will have access to networking sessions, webinars, and teacher chats that are taking place throughout the spring and summer.

To learn more about the application process, visit the DOE’s TeachNYC website.

In addition, if you would like to hear directly from current City teachers regarding their experiences in City public schools, consider participating in an online teacher chat taking place tonight, March 28, from 5–6 p.m. To register for this online chat, visit this webpage and reserve your virtual seat.

We wish all applicants success in their future endeavors!
