cover-of-pre-k-directory-2017With the DOE’s Pre-K registration process set to begin on January 17 for families seeking pre-kindergarten programs for the 2017-2018 school year, we are happy to report that the 2017 NYC Pre-K Directory is now available for families to begin exploring their pre-k options TODAY.

Here at the DOE, we strive to make it as easy as possible for every family to find the free, full-day, high-quality pre-k programs that City students need and deserve. Through the 2017 NYC Pre-K Directory, families will be able to:

  • Explore the pre-k programs available in their neighborhoods and boroughs;
  • Learn the steps and actions that are needed to apply to pre-k; and
  • Get information about how pre-k offers are made so that families know which pre-k programs are most likely to offer their child a seat.

The NYC Pre-K Directory is available online in 10 languages (English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Korean, Haitian Creole, Bengali, Urdu and French), and printed copies are available for families at all elementary schools and at each of the City’s current Pre-K for All schools, Family Welcome Centers, libraries, and other community centers.

For more information about the City’s pre-k programs, visit our Pre-K Admissions website, call (718) 935-2009 with your questions, or visit a Family Welcome Center near you.

Remember: Pre-K registration begins on January 17.
